I saw a receipt for $300. Thought it was for bike parts.
It was for Valentines!

My wife read this, she said that's exactly how

Wellll....

Not really, she hasn't been home since Sunday two weeks ago because of the weather, should be home Tuesday.

Her valentine's cards and present are here waiting for her.... however I did go to the LBS and spend about that much on a couple of used bikes.

My better half likes getting bike schwag for any reason... but now she has an entire shop to play in.

She also mentioned that she would like to learn how to do a little brazing.

She is hot on so many levels.

Exactly. That was bush league. Why inflict that on on someone you love? Ignorance really is bliss, sometimes.

Only way I can keep her from seeing receits is by using my secret fun account. Not that you're supposed to keep any secrets from your loved one, but this way is best. I swear.

Fifty bucks worth of roses helped distract her.

That picture is right on the mark. I've been in the process of N -MINUS 1 lately. I know, a huge sin. I'm going for the end result of a much cleaner garage and work space, with a total of two bikes for myself (not counting my wife's or kids bikes): A road bike and a mountain bike.

I just sold off my Trek Madone carbon beauty to fund the purchase of my new bike and it's carefully selected components. Considering that this wasn't new-found wealth, and that I lost money on the deal, I've been scrimping, saving, and then spending every dime earned from my sales for the new bike.

Very bad timing as she knew about me selling the bikes and not reserving a chunk of the $$$ for a special Valentines Day. Luckily, she understands my bike obsession and laughed it off.

My $300 receipt WAS for Valentines day. Well, a total of two receipts anyways..,,,,BD

I do have the 3T record stem and bars on the way, but the timing was classic. They should show up this Tuesday. If they showed up Friday, it probably still would have been okay.

Anytime my better half thinks I might be spending too much $$$ on bikes and parts. I just build her a new (old bike), she gets excited about it and I am off the hook. She like Brooks saddles also!

I made the mistake of comparing my three bicycles to her "x" pairs of shoes and "y" # of purses. I guess my math is different from hers.

So I bought this Masi Gran Corsa frame and fork with what I think is a SR crown race. I didnt' tell her about it and stored it in the storage unit in a box after taking a bunch of pictures of it. The pictures happened to be in the same file that the screed saver uses. She was in the office where the PC is and it was in screen saver mode. Since she says they all look alike, I didn't think the risk was too hight.

We were talking and all of a sudden she says 'WHAT IS THAT?!!!"...... I can dance with words better than with my feet. If you read any of my posts you know that ain't great, but good enough.

I corrected the screen saver and deleted the Pinarello that was in the slide set too. Can you guess why? It is in the same box as the Masi.

She is excited about the tandem though.
