Hi all, I found this bike badge whilst metal detecting. It's off a Clement bike, it says British Made at the top. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

Clement? Certainly heard of the tires, although I can never afford them..... but haven't heard of the bike.
Most likely just one of the hundreds of bicycle companies that came and went in the UK through the years, but unless we see what their frames look like, it's hard to assume what they are all about....
Interesting that it's flat....maybe unused.
Uhmmm.. gives a new spin to what's NOS!:thumb:

Very cool! Clean it gently... Soak in a gentle acid such as ketchup or coca cola for a day or two, then brush with an old toothbrush... Then another photo, perhaps?

Whatever it is, I don't think it's a head badge. There's a design there, but I can't quite make it out. Yet.

It has a rooster logo, it's a French company apparently, but it says British made on the badge. I agree that it's probably unused as its flat (other than one corner but that's just damage from over the years). I've cleaned it, but it has remains of green paint on it, so maybe someone had it for decoration, still can't find the British made bike though. Frustrating lol

I have cleaned it already, thats the best it would clean :) it has remains of green paint on it, the design is a rooster stood on a wheel, a scroll saying "Clement" is in front of the rooster. I've found the company, but it's a French company, I can't find any of their bikes that were made in Britain. It does say "British made" on the badge though
