The six day tracks were often constructed and removed for single events.

Even with the geometry, I think it still would be small. Cool bike though. I also agree it is likely nickel-plated and not stainless.

One of the names in the clippings that can be seen in the photos is Willie Spencer, a quite successful racer back in the day. Interestingly, Spencer was also a frame builder in the '20s. A website classiccycleus.com has pics of "Alf Goulet's 1923 Spencer Special", which shares a lot of the features of the eBay bike - what looks like the identical fork, and near-identical seat stays. Hmm...

I notice he says he took the "stainless steel" out of the auction title because there had been questions about that and he didn't want to "mis-lead" anyone.

His first auction for the bike started at $5999.99 and buy it now was $7999.99. He dropped the price a little.

In my home town... could have saved on the shipping if I'd noticed this early and had been drinking. Who knows where it'll end up but it sounds like should have been in a museum or at least on display at the new velodrome they're building in Milton.
