1966... by the hub date. The transfers and color support that too.

It is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it.

Which means, it's a Raleigh-made bicycle. Original price was somewhat less than a Raleigh Sports (which had more expensive rims and saddle and other fittings). They're great bikes, nearly indestructible, which means they've survived in well, and consequently are not especially valuable.

I'd like to add to rhm's post that while they are not especially valuable in terms of money, they are durable, pleasant to ride, and extremely useful. You can get one for fewer clams than a Merckx, but it should be just as useful in another hundred years as it is today. The intrinsic value is higher than the dollar value, in other words and IMO.

Hello everyone, First post on this forum.
I recently inherited two bikes from one is a sunbeam possibly a "royal" and the other is a new hudson personally prefer the new hudson which is in better shape and am considering selling my sunbeam as I have a small flat and currently three bikes.

frame number 166589

I really just want to know what the going rate is for sunbeams and if mine would be of interest (even in its current state). Also would it be better to preserve it in its current state or strip it and rebuild it?

I'll be able to pop some photos up in the near future

Thanks in advance
