Gearing for my 97 Burley Duet Question.

Below is a chart of gear inches for the 6 speed and the triple already on the bike. I have a 7spd equivalent but with different cog count. I like the consistancy of the 7.5% changes that look a lot like half step gearing. I would have a lot of double shifting to do but, hey, we need challenges! I was thinking that I could use the 7spd body, keep the 30 tooth and replace the rest with the 6 spd cogs. The only real advantage to this configuration is the lower low of getting to 25 inch gear. Not much different than 27, but in some situations, maybe it is!

The other option is to replace the middle ring with a 46 tooth which would be a 4% increase in the difference.

The first column is the freewheel tooth count, the second column is the gear inch for 52 tooth ring. The third is % change from freewheel cog to cog. The fourth is with outer to inner ring change only. The fifth is middle ring gear inch. following columns are repeats. the changeover from middle to inner would be from the 28 or 30 to the 20.

What would you do?
Leave it a 6spd ?
Convert to 7spd?
Change just the inner ring?
Convert to the 7spd with a change of the inner ring?

Asking what you would do. I have tried the stock configuration and it is a bit hard to tell the difference between inner and outer ring. May go for the 46t inner ring from 48, it would be closer to a 10% difference.
