Hercules Commuter 1980's??

Hi there

Can across this site whilst trying to gem up on a bike that I spent the afternoon making good..
Seems to be a lot of people in the know on here.
I bought it for £30 from a local sale..
It says it's a Hercules Commuter. I'm guessing it's from the 70's or possibly 80's. It weighs a ton but has scrubbed up ok.
If anyone knows more about it that'd be great. I know it's a pretty low value machine. If I sold it to my Dads partner for £70 would that be about right??
It's a Sturmey Archer 3 speed with SA hubs too.

Check the rear hub for a date code. Should read something like 81 7 which would make it July 1987. I would guess 1980's and possibly for an import market. When did the white tail fender requirement go away?
