They fit right in the original Mafac holders, look better to me than the one-piece post/pad alternatives, and definitely improved the braking performance on my 1974 Jack Taylor.

Awesome... did not know that Kool Stop had got around to this yet.

I have a pretty amazing "counterfeit" version of this bike, that I'll unveil if I ever get around to rebuilding it. This is pretty good inspiration to get it done..

Wonderful bike.
I have the itch to build and need to dust off some projects that have been collecting dust... if I was not so busy in the shop I might get some time to get around to working on them.

Edith needed to be dusted off and taken for a spin and plan to take her out next weekend on a longer ride... from a ride standpoint she's a 10 as she balances a nice ride with some surprising performance. I think it is the combination of stiffer tubes and the old school randonneuring geometry that retains a longer wheelbase with a steeper head angle and less trail that does not so go far as making her twitchy as it does to make handling sharp and still very stable.

I always take lessons from these old bicycles when I am planning new builds and Peugeot really seemed to know how to make a well balanced bicycle.

I agree with Italuminium, the most charming bike I have seen here on BF, and I'm very glad you rescued her from an ignoble fate.
