Handlebar size question / Rebuild Question

I never really buy anything for my bike, so I always forget what the numbers are for just about everything. I know, though, that most of the time--y'all know pretty much everything, or can at least provide a pretty good guess.

Anyway, I'm wanting to buy the moustache handlebars from nashbar, but I don't know what size I'm supposed to get (or if they'd even fit on my bike...) They offer 52 CM C-C and 56 CM C-C. The bike I'm buying these for is a '75 Sekine SHC.

Can anyone provide the info I need?

I'm hoping to get it dropped off for some new paint in the next few days and clean up most of the stock parts that were already on it to make it shine a bit, but I did have some general rebuild questions--I don't want to spend a whole lot on rebuilding it because it's really just not worth it to me. But I know I need new brake levers and shifters (probably keep the downtube look)--any recommendations for something cheaper?

Thanks

I found this stuff, and I'm wondering if they'd work? I don't care if it's cheaper stuff and not super high quality. Just want it to work and look alright. haha

Nashbar Moustache Handlebar - Handlebars
VO City Bike Brake Levers - Levers - Brakes & Parts - Components
Falcon Friction Thumb Shifters - Shifters - Shifting - Components

Any thoughts?

They have a 25.4 clamp diameter and your bike might have 25.4 or 26.0mm stem. If 26, you could shim it or buy a 25.4 stem to match bar.

The width (52 or 56cm) is a personal preference. They generally advise wider shoulders should get wider bars.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably take the chance and hope it'll fit and then rig it later if I need to.

New question: Do you know what size brake levers I'd need? Those ones from VO come in 22.2 and 23.8. I don't see anywhere on the Nashbar page what size the bars are. Do you have any idea what I'd need to order size-wise from VO to make sure they fit the handlebar?

Thanks again!
