I'm not sure what beauty is, other than in the eye of the beholder. So, I'll submit what visitors to my garage think the most of, and they are all modern bike folks. My apologies for lack of scenic background. I don't stop to take photos very often, and even then, they don't turn out very well.

I get a pretty fair number of comments of appreciation for my Katakura Silk. Much as I love classy and understated paint, I tend to get seduced by chrome.

I feel that I've got a few nice looking bikes…but…for a straight beauty contest, I guess I would enter these:

1985 Spectrum Sport-Tourer:

1985 De Rosa "Pro"

1994 Vittorio Strada MAX

2011 Meech 'Cannibal'

While this is beautiful to me these are archive pics now. I'm completely rebuilding this frame with modern components and the campy 9speed's going on a custom Paino frame set.

Beautiful...

What tube set is that built with?

What is the modern build gonna be? (I vote 2010 Athena 11s silver alloy (with 2012 brake blades) and lose the Mavic wheels).

Thank dude, frame is Columbus EL-OS, 1510 grams.

I've had Sram Force sitting around so using that. It might sound like heresy on a Olympia but they have always embraced Japanese groups, in fact high end Olympia's are built to customers requests with any group or wheel sets.
I have Bouwmeester wheels carbon forks and still working out other components.

One day I might afford a new Super Record group.

Wow, some formidable eye candy in this thread!

Here's my '82 Jack Taylor Tour of Britain. I'm the second owner, original condition, and she comes with papers:

And my '71 Mercian. This one was a factory restoration by the Mercian shop:

Not as nice as Bluedevils Super Leggera but nice enough to attract attention. Last summer I had it leaning against a fence with a lot of moden bikes and a police officer stopped got out and was looking over my bike he then looked up and said whose bike was this when I told him it was mine He said it was a beautiful bike and wanted to know if it was all original. I told him I bought it as a frame set and built it up. I often hear people call it Beautiful it must be the Celeste colour that people when they see it say that is a Special bike

It may be a lolly-bit outclassed here, but I just had to post my red Super Course-TT - 'cause it's red!

This is the most enjoyable thread I have ever read on BF -- thanks for starting it. In one thread you have summarized why so many of us are so passionate about C&V bikes. It could use a 50-year-old Austrian bike, however ...

JTTDF, that Masi looks really sharp.

Your fork's bent.

Not really, but your front brake is open. Really. I guess you knew that.

Definitely not in the same class as a lot of bikes here, but I figured the thread needed a nice black and red Moto - sorry about the yard - taken at the end of a long and brutal winter, before spring cleanup.

I really like the look of that Carlton above. Did they use the same frames as for the Raleigh Professional? It looks identical from what I can see.

Somebody restored a Bertin for his girlfriend a while back, and that bike really ought to be on this thread.
