@bikemig, what is that decal-less green one? It's my favorite.

Thanks Tom. It is a Roe racing bike which was handmade in the UK by a small shop. Here is a thread on the bike: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...questions.html

It was my racing bike in college. Actually it was pretty much my only bike. I bought the bike second hand at the shop where I worked in New Orleans (the Bikesmith). I rode it to school, to work, and I raced on it. I had it repainted at Paris Sport in N.J. in the 80s.

Just picked this up yesterday. Prior owner said mid-90's but everything I am reading points more towards early 90's? I understand the paint scheme is LeMond's 1989 Tour Team ADR scheme...?

As much as I would love to build it full Campy, right now all I have in stock is Tiagra brifters and RD, Ultegra FD and these Zero Lite Vuelta rims so that will have to do for now. Gonna de-sticker the rims... but here it is so far:

Updated pic from a few days back when I posted only the frame and fork. Built up as kind of an "urban tank" stuffing 38mm tires into the frame (had to heat the inside of the rear triangle and give the chain stays a little squeeze with the channel locks in order to fit the 38mm tires in the back)..

Used a 7 speed Sora setup off a GMC donor bike using the brifters, rims and rear cassette. FD and RD re-used along with the stem. FSA triple crank with the inner sprocket removed. New Uno seatpost and Modolo bars. New Nashbar saddle with Nashbar tape (not the the same green unfortunately...but close I guess)

'86 Trek Pro Series 760 with full 531c. Too nice for my daily rider yet quite enjoyable on short, fast rides.

I guess I'm riding just "mostly real," because of the fork.
I do love the steel frame though.

Finished a local century ride on a cold rainy day with my 1970's (?) steel frame. I stripped and repainted this (no brand name) frame, appears to be a custom frame built using Columbus tubing and Campagnolo drop outs etc. I really enjoy riding this bike, especially with the wheelset; Campagnolo hubs, Ambrosio Montreal tubular rims, and Vittoria Corsa tires.

Hey Will,

Great to see you posting again! Some mighty nice bikes with some future gems ahead, I'm diggin' it! Is the '83 Expedition new? I love that one, it must be treat to ride. Hey, the Suntour Superbe decal on the head tube of your '78/'79 Nashbar, I just came across one of those in my tool box still new in the plastic. My last Suntour bike was my MB-1 and since it's sold I have no other bikes with Suntour components. You are welcome to have it, just let me know.

Peace,

-D-
