Cable pull, Shimano vs. Suntour

Am I imagining it, or do my Suntour bar-end shifters pull significantly more cable than my 7-speed Shimano bar-ends (used in friction mode)? If so, I may switch them around. If not, I won't bother.

The Suntours do pull slightly more cable in friction mode. But I don't think it would be enough off a difference to matter with most setups.
