Help- Schwinn Impact
Hello, new to the forum, I had a question.
I have looked everywhere and can not find a year or value on this bike. Here is some info and even though it says "bronze" in the color description, I think its black chrome, not sure. Could someone please tell me what year this is and what the value is if the condition is "like new"? Thank you.
Schwinn Impact MtB, 18 speed.
Frame: 4130 Chrome-Moly, size 21.5 inches, stand over height 33",
SunTour Accushift Equip: XCE front & rear derailleurs, 18 speed,
Brake System: Dia-Compe front & rear controls and calipers,
Wheels: 26" aluminum satin finish & alum hubs; steel spokes,
Tires: Bontrager 26" x 2.1" trail
Handlebars: Up-swept with foam grips, for a comfortable up-right ride,
Seat is foam and comfortable [small tear in fabric],
Aluminum kick stand, bottle holder, quick adjust seat position, quick release front
wheel, classy bronze color factory paint.
The front & rear derailleurs and brake assemblies were fresh lubed and adjusted.
The front & rear wheel bearings were fresh lubed.
This is a very clean and completely functional bicycle. No corrosion

It's late eighties.
Look carefully at the head badge for four small, lightly stamped digits. That four digit number is the assembly date. The first three digits are the day of the year (001-366) and the fourth digit is the last digit of the year.
