That bike has been getting relisted for about 2 years, if not longer. It's amazing how the same bikes keep coming up on Ebay and CL for years without the sellers accepting the fact that they are overpriced.

No way I'd pay anywhere near $1475 for that. Looks like a nice old bike and all, but not $1475 nice.

Anyone catch that early Rene Herse on fleabay a few weeks ago? Thought it was listed in the vintage bike parts category. Dressed and original. I forget exactly but only one bid and sold at the opening price. And it was cheeeeap!

It's super nifty, but the price is still too high.

Bill- That's the one! Circa 1938 frame. Nice piece of history and classy rider. Not original paint as I incorrectly stated but from others 'sold' and prices, this seemed to be quite the bargain. I suppose one could pull and store away the drivetrain and replace with some interesting shift group.

(ps. Hope to see you on one of the rides again.) Cheer's

I would think that if it was in pristine condition he could get a lot more for it. But it's not very pretty close up.

I was hoping to do that this year, but I just got signed up for business travel starting that weekend. Oh well!
