C&V paint design on c#*b*n frame?

I have been recovering from an injury to my arm, back and neck, muscles and nerves and have not ridden my bikes in over a year.
My physical therapist wanted me to have a bike with shorter reach and my wife said "why don't you just get a new bike"!
Well who could refuse that offer, after all, my wife is a Medical professional so I must follow professional medical advice.
I had been looking into upgrading her bike for a carbon frame and stumbled upon the Nashbar carbon bike. With 20% off it was $880 for my size.
It came as a nude, paint-grade bike. I would say entry-level CF.
I have the handle bar and brifters skewed up to help with reach.
So I thought, what about a switch on the paint and do a classic faux lugged design. I photo-shoped a few ideas. I also have some very classic maker decals to add to it.
Is this dumb? Stupid? Crazy? Gaudy?
Please give me your thoughts and opinions or rants.
PS. I hope it's okay to post this here since this is where I normally post and it does contain some C&V ideas. :-)

I would just ride it.
What is that expression about 'lipstick on a pig'.
But if it makes you happy, it would make the bike unique.

I think I like the green one best. Thinner outer stripes on the seattube panel would look better to me. Maybe just a colored band outlining the panel. Ridley put Belgian flag bands on their throwback TdF bikes.

I'd do second from the bottom of your choices, but please ditch the lug outlines. Outline the "panels" instead (like the above post), it looks far less contrived.

I think what you're doing is funny. I like option 1.

I vote white on blue without the faux lug lining.

If you want a painted bike, I see no reason not to paint it.
