In search of 1990's Campy rims

Anyone know of a shop that may have a stash of 1990's Campy rims. Looking to build a new wheel set for my De Rosa.

Try Velo Classique in Purcelville, VA. Wayne has a lot of NOS vintage rims and may have what you're looking for.

I have three or four sets of nos Campy and Mavic rims that could suit your needs.

Probably complete Campy 7,8,9 speed wheelsets as well.

Clinchers and tubs. Not nos on wheelsets, but I don't keep junk around.

Heck, I even have some DA wheelsets collecting dust around here.

Unfortunately I can't access them for a few more days.

I'll pm you the specifics as soon as I can pull them out of their storage.

In fact, I know I owe a few more members info as well about other items.

Soon as I can guys! :)

I really want to build or have a true box style wheel. Campagnolo Omega or Omega XL but not Omega 19 is what I would like to have.

Sound's good gomango. Let me know. I just spruced her up a little with new tape, chainrings and saddle.

Maybe I have these rims, but I for sure have a very nice Record/Omega wheelset.

Not nos, but very clean.

THAT was a close one! I was afraid you would be interseted in Omega Strada Hardox in Areo configuration with Chorus hubs!

Highgear 08-07-14 01:44 PM

Damn the areo revolution! No. They sound like nice wheels.

Tubular rims
Mario, a bikeshop in Holland, has Campagnolo rims. I don't know how much postage is.

I got some that look a lot like that but built on newer hubs

@Germany_chris - I found these on CraigsList. They were purchased 15+ years ago by the PO and hung in a basement until I bought them. Completely unused!

I picked my rims on the Serotta forum, then got hubs from Ribble and had a local shop build them

I have two sets of nos Victory Stradas and two sets of nos GP4s.

I also have a nice complete Record/Omega wheelset, but no Omega rims.

Sorry.

OK. I luckily found the rims through a Facebook group. Can't really believe I did. Now I am having second thoughts about tearing apart the hubs from the Open Pro rims. They would go beautifully on my wife's same period Bianchi that has prebuilt low end Mavic wheels. I am struggling with the damn purist in me. What started out as a idea has become a obsession. Now I am looking for a set of Record hubs that fit 9 speed. I'll post another thread. Will I get lucky again? Doubt it.
