1986 Specialized Allez SE Jim Merz Edition, Took Over 2 Years to Build
In about March of 2012 I purchased the frame from fas2c (I Think!) and the ..."Shimano 600 Tri-Color groupo, near new condition, must see to believe"... (His Words) from shnibop in May of 2012.
Then all hell broke loose in my life. All I guess I need to say is I was married for 25 years, "was" being the key word. All bike projects stopped. During a quite nasty spell in the divorce she assured me that she was taking ALL of the bikes and bike related items. There are no winners in a divorce but I kept all my bikes and I even got the house, all it cost me was my retirement fund. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
In February of 2014 I picked up the Specialized handlebar and stem from acoffin. So the parts were in order but I still had a few projects I wanted to complete first. IE: my Masi and Legnano.
Let the pictures do the talking.
Make sure to check the Photobucket link to the album for all 18 pics.

Congrats - it must be nice to finally take it out for a ride. The tri-color...colors go very well with the paint. Looks like an absolute blast.

Merz is a frame builder who helped design this with Mark DiNucci and Specialized.

Lol the guys that made american classics on two wheels sure did a better job than those making US divorce proceedings. Awesome bike.

Do you have dual pivot brakes in the front and single pivot in the back?

Ummm I don't think so. I can't look until Sunday night, I'm at GF's this weekend.

I did that with a bike, just because I thought it was cute.
