My wife is very supportive about my cycling, but she can't stand the sight of my "workspace". To her it's full of useless junk, messed up, dirty, etc.

(Context: My ~8-mile commute is mostly through mean streets of Oakland, where I'm constantly dodging doors and glass, and loaded with gear and often a kid bike trailer, too.)

"What do you mean you haven't been riding much. You go for a ride every day. Your commute counts as a bike ride!"
