I wear Tifosi Logic XL - has clear, yellow & dark lenses to switch out as necessary. Performance has them on sale & I'm picking up some new ones today. Great, full coverage, light with adjustable nose pads & part by ears.

I also struggled with contacts and wind (and have pretty poor eyes which means not many options for prescription lenses). I've settled on Oakley Racing Jackets and really enjoy them. Have a few different sets of lenses for different light/biking needs. On my face, they seem very light and they stay put. On the flip side, they're certainly not cheap and the looks of them are either hit or miss with some people; certainly do not have a "vintage" look...

back in the early '90s I was a real Oakley freak. But then they just got too sport specific so I switched to Maui Jims. Lately however I seem to just be wearing my $10 walmart 'funglasses' most of the time.

I use Rudi Project Rydon glasses, with interchangeable lenses. Each set of lenses has stick on corrective add-ons in the bottom portion, making these into the bifocals that my old eyes need.

I wear some $15 Foster Grants from the corner grocery. They're somewhere between aviator and sport.
What I would like to find are some of these vintage 80s glacier glasses:
(I wonder if the lack of peripheral vision would limit my life expectancy....)

Coincidentally, I recently inherited a pair of Maui Jims from my wifes dad because no one else in the family wanted them. Wow, best lens I've ever worn. The I looked up the $400 price tag. They are the cats arse for sure.

Serengeti Drivers. Polarized, non reflective coating on the back side. (not the circular polarized ones by the way) Read about them years ago in Car&Driver when it was run by David E. Davies… yes that long ago in an column by Patrick Bedard.
I set aside my RayBan's.
Addicted to them when outside. They seem to cut through marginal visibility too.

Anything under $10 that reasonably fits my melon of a head. One of my ears is about 1/4" lower on one side of my face, so no glasses ever fit right. I do like them for the wind break the provide for your eyes, which in the right conditions can bring me to tears on a ride. Sometimes I wear totally clear safety glasses, which I have because they are required at work. I hate everything, and that goes for sunglasses, which seem to never be exactly the right shade for the conditions. Oddly enough, on my wipeout this January, my glasses stayed on my face, even though one of the lenses had fallen out. My riding buddy attempted to remove them from my face, and the arm on the side where I impacted my head fell off in the process. That was some minutes after the wreck, but I hadn't noticed the missing lens; I guess I was more interested in finding my missing dignity.

Ironman wrap arounds from Target. When I scratch them, I go get a new pair without shedding any tears. The lenses match my roadie shoes...

Oakley Oil cans that are about 6 years old now. I replace then lenses about once every two years. Before that I had another another pair of Oakley's (i forget the model) that I had for about 5-6 years before I lost them in the Atlantic Ocean while not letting my 2 year old drown.
The reason I like(d) both of these for riding, say compared to my every day Ray Ban Wayfarers, is that they provide good side coverage.
Bright light definitely bothers me.

I don't wear sunglasses. I wear a hat and the brim does a good job of keeping the sun out of my eyes.

BTW, West Chester eh? That's where I am right now. Actually I'm from West Chester originally, though I'm only here temporarily at the moment. My favorite riding in the area was always the countryside between WC/Unionville//Kennet/Marshallton/Coastesville.

Well hats can be worn with or without a helmet so there's options for everyone. We are really blessed to have the riding areas we do here. Those are my favorite places to ride too. Rolling hills and farms to the west. Lots of neat animals to see around here too. Pretty ponies galore, also some weird stuff like emus and buffalo.

Yes! In fact I believe there are still some buffalo on the former Waltz farm on Berks rd near the middle school. Maybe, I havent actually checked in years.
Oh and I was kidding about the hat/helmet thing

I always wear some sort of eye protection even though I don't wear contacts/glasses. Being smacked in the face by a grasshopper close to my eye reinforced that in me. I used to wear my normal Ocean Waves sunglasses (had some Maui Jims, but didn't like the lenses and got these instead), but they didn't provide enough coverage around my eyebrows (head down, looking up a bit was the problem). I had a set of Bolle Vigilantes with interchanging lenses, so I started wearing those and haven't looked back. Even though my Ocean Waves were expensive (like Maui Jims), I think Oakley prices are stupid expensive, so no go there. Having interchangeable lenses is nice as well, so if I replace the Bolles, it will be interchangeable if I do.

Anything polarized in CR-39 plastic or polycarb work well. Brown for grey climates like the NW. Grey and G15 green for sunny places. Wayfarers work well due to the straight temples. Easy to shove under a helmet.
