I found a Trek 610. Too bad it's too small for me.

This afternoon I saw this posted on local CL while I was at work. No pic.

This evening I saw that it was still listed. Took a shot and called seller and it was still available. Made immediate decision to check it out.

Seller stated he was original owner, purchased it new at Yellow Jersey in Madison, and that it was about 20 years old.

Appears to be an early 80's 610. Serial number is N2F7B48. Frame tubes are Reynolds 531.

VintageTrek is kinda hazy on whether it is an 81 or an 81.5.

Suntour Superbe derailleurs, levers, calipers, brake pads, pedals, and cranks. Suntour shifters. Suntour GT dropouts.

Campy hubs and QR's with 27" Rigida rims. Cinelli stem and 64-40 bars.

Avocet Racing 1 saddle, SR Laprade seat post, no name on headset.

Not yet sure why seat tube is painted yellow. Probably from an old school bottle cage. However, it should clean up nice enough.

That's going to make a 5'8" young man with a 30" inseam very happy.

Just off the top of my head, I would imagine Cyclone stuff to be on an early 80s X10 bike...

My son is about that size and may want it. If not, off to CL...

Interestingly, the PO stated he purchased the frame and fork and had YJ install the components he wanted. I can't find a brochure showing a 610 spec'd with Superbe, so he may have at least remembered that correctly. He also gave me an ancient Normandy hubbed tubular wheelset.

@cb400bill - just what are the seat tube AND top tube measurements? It's pretty.

@Velocivixen, I can measure it for you this evening.

@Velocivixen, the seat tube measures out as 20.5" CTC and the top tube measures out as 21.5" CTC.

@cb400bill- thanks for the measurements. Pretty bike.
