    first time restoring a vintage raleigh twenty

    Hii, so im attempting to restore a very battered raleigh twenty, i've never restored a bike before so i wanted to ask some advice from people who know what they are talking about. like do you have to buy specific tyre or will any tyre the right size fit? and generally any more advice anyone maybe has to offer??

    Also, try the Folding Bike sub forum. LOTS of '20 owners and users there. A few of the twenty's even look stock, some have drop bars, 10 speed rears ...
    Any standard 20x1.25 to 20x2.125 should fit. I don't remember if the high performance 20x1 fit the standard rims. Great bike, and good luck.

    As a multiple Twenty owner...

    Ask away. Pictures would be a good start. There are two different sizes of rims that were used on the Twentys depending on which market was intended for, and they don't interchange, 406 and 451. The 406 is the BMX sized tire and is more common in the US, the 451 is more common in the EU and OZ.
