35x1 Bottom Bracket Swiss Thread Lagerschalen Cuvettes Suiss | eBay

Here's a potentially good deal for someone brave enough to risk sending $30 to Russia.

Looks like non-standard tools needed for installation, and the 3-notch lockring precludes use of a lockring pliers.

I think Sheldon Brown's improvised bolt-and-lockwasher method would suffice for installing and removing the fixed cup. That slotted adjustable cup can be adjusted with a Park pin spanner, I think--I had a Japanese cup that looked just like it.

Three-notch lockrings aren't ideal, but they do work.

I don't need one, but I have two Peugeot's that have Swiss BB's,
so I got one for spec.

My wife dosn't understand.

Thanks Jon for the heads up.

Just one left.

Nice. It still could be Swiss thread, as Phil offers Swiss thread mounting rings.

I got one a few months back. Good seller and no problems. Haven't installed it yet, but I've got a Peugeot and a Moto that I think will probably thank me for it, some day.

I use my old Sugino bottom bracket tool for all of my bikes with 3-notch lock rings.

The first thing I would do with that BB is to toss the cages and install loose balls -- 11 per side, I believe -- for improved longevity of the spindle and cups.

True that, and Phil Wood Swiss rings were only offered in Steel, no alloy versions, plus since they are LH thread on the fixed side that should be one clue, Phil also painted the inner flange with red paint on the fixed ring (same as they did for BSC rings).
So, if you found a LH thread fixed ring with red paint in steel it can be either Swiss or BSC, but on a '72 Moto it could only be Swiss. (RH thread fixed obviously: FR)

I bought a Swiss bottom bracket from this seller when I had the Peugeot PFN10. It worked very well.

Uhmmm that looks OK,........ but check for radiation, in case the metal came from scrapped nuclear subs...or something similar......
Just kidding.....
Anyway, it's always good to know of another source for Swiss BBs!

Mine arrived today!!

As long as the axles' designed for 68mm frames it doesn't matter.

I believe a Suntour style freewheel puller is the tool you need.
