Welcome. You need a closer-up pic. No brifters, steel, and a leather saddle? It's vintage enough for here.
Peugeot?

Thanks.
The picture is huge but to upload it I had to re size it. The bike is actually a Peugeot Vitesses 12 speeds. I bought the brooks for it, I thought it looks cool and very comfortable too. The frame its steel (Carbolite if that means anything). But it is not lugged.
Because I don't have much experience riding bikes and my knowledge is very limited, I thought and entry level bike was good for me. If I learn more about taking good care of it and how to be a smart rider then I can probably hunt a really nice classic bike.
Again Thank you for your reply.

Looks to be a 1983 PH variant (PH10?)
I can just make out the familiar Carbolite 103 tubing decal near the seat cluster that my own PH10S had in the 80's.......
It's towards the top of their entry level model line, but a very good riding, solid bike from Peugeot from that time.

Take a picture of the drive side, so we can see the drivetrain. If the result is huge, crop it to leave only the bike in, i.e. cut out the stuff around the edges. Or just get closer to the bike when you shoot it.

I will continue to try to help those, like TroN0074, who might benefit from the help - those new to the interest in vintage bicycles. To the veteran forum members, who see me attempt to do so - my apologies.

The commercial break is not to help experienced folks, like you. Instead, it targets the guy or gal who joined today - TroN0074. And, for what it is worth, I don't charge for those breaks, or for the many emails I get, almost daily, thanks to millions of hits per month. So...

maybe i'm wrong, but I believe it is against forum rules to constantly plug personal for profit sites. if not, so be it. i realize you're trying to help, i honestly just find the constant plugging very tacky. Perhaps I'm the only one.
I will leave it there.

I had a PH10 in Carbolite 103.
It was a most enjoyable ride.
Welcome to the Forum.
My Peugeot was a 1985 PH10L. It had 27" wheels, Simplex derailleurs, and a light feel for a 24 pound bicycle.
Not sure how many miles a Michiganer will get in the Winter, but next Spring you'll have fun.
Absolutely an upgrade from a Huffy.

I think the bike is from 84 or 85, It is a P10 of some source Not sure if P10 LS or just plain P10 The pictures in the 1985 French Catalogue shows the break cable going above the top tube. The bike I have has the cables going inside the tube. The 1985 USA catalogue doesn’t even list it.
Anyway I think I will enjoy riding this bike.
Thank you for all the welcoming replies. I will check out randyjawa's web site to learn something more.
