Before Xmas...Thanksgiving...
Before we get too far into Christmas country...how about this question...what one item of cycling equipment, tech, lore, experience, etc. are you most thankful for receiving in 2014? And...if it was Sandra Bullock on a bicycle in your living room...so be it!!!!
Mine would be...the ability to get back out on the bike after having several surgeries this year...just the simple act of taking a short (and exhausting at this point) ride through natural settings was quite great! Thanks for being able to do that...

Yeah! I'm just thankful for just being able to ride again. You see I was hit by a car last Nov. The car was only doing 25 mph, yet I was able to walk away from the accident with a badly broken arm and a totaled bike. Even though I had 3 surgeries I was riding again in June. The best thing about this if you can call it that is the bike was totaled I was not.

I'm thankful that our son is off to a solid start at the University of Minnesota.
So far, so good.
I'm also thankful that our family is healthy and able to pursue their interests with full energy.
Now where'd that pedal wrench go anyway?
I'm thankful that I have a bit of "bike" time today.
I'm building two bikes today, a CAADX for a buddy and my newest Kvale.

Well it is not my top thing but I am thankful that my youngest graduated from college and is self sustaining at the moment. To connect to a bike, this fact allowed me to keep this:

Because I didn't need to flip it to help pay for another tuition bill. I crashed on it 4 weeks ago and I am thankful that the only damage to the bike was to the saddle. Damage to me did not include broken bones so I am thankful for that. And today I am thankful that nearly every injury is healed, face, neck, shoulder, chest, upper thigh and road rash on the knee.
I am thankful that all you bikers who had accidents are still with us and healing too!

Started a long charity ride where I didn't know anyone, but by the time it was finished, I had two new friends.
They are my age, my fitness level and live in my neighborhood and we now ride together nearly every weekend. They've expanded my cycling world and experience's.
I'm grateful to have met these guys...

I am grateful for completing my first and second organized centuries.
Oh yeah, and that my kids and wife are healthy and usually happy. That too.

One year closer to retirement, doing 2 centuries back to back same weekend, and getting a nice Schwinn 564 for a steal (my first aluminum frame road bike).

Thanks for starting this! Passing a "turkey" along was joyful.
It feels very good to give.

I'm thankful for Craigslist sellers who put the frame size in the ad title.
