Looks like a cheap, laminate countertop.

Not really in the aesthetics category, but electronic shifting bugs me. How fregin' hard is it to move a finger up/down or left/right?

How about a machine that opens the donut box, selects the donut by eye movement and then stuffs it in our mouth for us? And at the high end we there could be a jaw-assist feature.

Never seen that 3Rensho before, crazy!

I guess you're talking about Klein Mantras? Unfortunately the Mantra came out after the Trek acquisition and the Klein division of Trek was done with cool paint.

Had a magenta/DiNucci green StumpJumper for a short while in the late '80s. Makes me cringe to think about that color scheme.

The amoeba splash on the 1992 Schwinn Paramount PDG Series 7 650c was the best.
Ever.
You had to be so close to see it, the owner should kick your ass if you didn't ask first.

I'm sure they are not really that easy to do well, but fade and splatter paint jobs on bikes seems to give the impression of frame painters taking cheap shortcuts to finish a frame....

I dunno, I rather like splat on an offroader. Not like it's going to stay pristine anyway...

I happen to like the paint splatter bikes. My 90' Schwinn High Plains black base with silver spider lines on it looks cool to me. I still search for an 18" GT MTB to add to the stable.

I liked the Diamondback and Wheeler mtn splatters, cream base with not overdone "veins" and splotches.

I don't care about splatter, but I like spumone:

(not the red saddle and tape, just the paint)

Wait long enough and everything comes back in style.

I'm all over the mauve bandwagon the next time it rolls in town.

Also, when I turn 80, the wardrobe is going full Sonny Crockett, espadrilles and linen. w00t!

Show us samples of these abominations especially if you still have one in your stable.

Other trends to mention?
- overdone fade jobs
- animal prints such as tiger stripes
- pro-replicas (think USPS and Liquigas)
Be careful what you complain about; you may get a thread full of it.
