Went out for a 25 mile ride this morning with a shop friend. 36 degree when I left and got up to low 40 but it was comfy. I had a t shirt and a wool sweater and some old Pearl Izumi pants on. A thin lycra baklava and some gloves and Wool socks. Felt great and my feet only started getting cold at the very end of the ride. Bring on winter...in Southern Oregon because it's perfect riding weather. Haha.

Temperature-wise 40. Here on the Cape the wind blows 20 mph on a calm day. Mother Nature cranked it up a bit today, steady 20-30 mph, gusts 40-50. Not a fun day on the road. So. Took the recently acquired Trek 950 into the woods & managed to mostly avoid the wind. Got blasted by a crosswind coming off the feeder pond of the cranberry bog I cut through.

I rode a wee 9 miles today. Overcast, 31 degrees, 3-5 mph headwind. Fleece pullover, mock turtleneck, and fleece cap and pants. The fresh air is invigorating and the newly paved Mack Avenue devine.

I was out on a very short ride yesterday. The cold went pretty much through my jacket and wind down my collar- and my legs got tired really fast.

It was a really short ride.

Went and played in the mud Saturday. Rained all day Friday so the gravel roads were nice and soupy. It was a blast. Mid 30s but I hate the trainer so this is the #notrainer winter for me.

Unfortunately the picture of the entire bike went missing.

"Why do I ride anything else?" Luckily I have about 4 bikes in that category. Life is goood.

Take off the front wheel and put one of those shoes on. We may be getting onto something!

Let's see: bears, cougars, and coyotes--- but how about pictures at the end of today's ride? Mike, I think you'd need a jacket.

Technically it's not even winter!

Nice job! I almost wish we had a snowstorm here instead of the pouring, freezing rain.

I was trying to decide whether or not to use a photo from last year - thanks norskagent for making that an easy one.

I won't be able to get out for another week at least, so I'm enjoying these pics for now.
