The first appearance of a plastic Nitor saddle with flat rails is on p207 (1959) of the Data Book.
Other makers had slotted flat rail saddles many years earlier ... but with leather tops.
Have a look at the Giame page at Giame | saddlewax.com

Can't say that I have. Flat rails, BTW, are a silly design. They don't provide any shock absorption ... which is why most saddles have tubular or solid rod rails.

I am a big fan of flat railed Ideale saddles ... because they are pretty ... not because they ride well.

When I find the time I will load hundreds of beautiful Ideale saddle photos.
My favorite saddle is a plain railed Ideale 90.
My riding saddles nowadays are B17 patterns on Brooks Titanium rails.
Life is too short for uncomfortable rides.

one item you might wish to include in the t&b flattie section is the clamp parts set made by zeus to fit these saddles to campag record pattern pillars. i have never known or stock number for it or seen it listed in a zeus catalogue but have seen it in person. estimate it was a 1960's era item.

Congratulations on a great site.
I like to use a plastic Unicanitor saddles on my track bikes. I feel they belong on a top-flight track machine.
Here's a poor photo of my track bikes with Unicanitor's fitted. Both probably Mod. 55 - one has 3 holes while the other is perforated with a series of holes in a double crescent pattern.(like the one on your site):
Here's another one of mine. I bought it as part of the Cinelli VIP set. It has an alloy wishbone frame and is sectionally vertically thicker that the steel wire frame and requires a longer bolt to convert the Campagnolo SR post to hold the saddle. Cinelli supplied a longer alloy replacement bolt, with a socket head, to replace the hex headed Campy bolt.
