What rims? Bianchi Specialissima 1962-64
I recently acquired a Bianchi Specialissima from somewhere in the '62-64 timeframe. (Locknuts say '62, but first sold in '64)
The rims are 27" clinchers, so I assume they have been changed.
Does anyone know what the correct rims are for this bike?

Early 60s Bianchi still sourced a lot from Ambrosio.
Decals would look like this, but they are very difficult to find.

If you are not so fussy, Fiamme with the oval label or Nisi Toros with the grooves on teh brake walls would be period correct and pretty close to "correct".
Here is Giuseppe Zorzi's 1962 Bianchi. I know the guy selling it anyone is interested.

Nisi Moncalieri's would be an option depending how "correct" you were going for a. I'm suggesting these as they seemed to be pretty plentiful and affordable as NOS the last time I checked (which was just a few moths ago. I just looked on ebay and did not see any, but I think they are around. It was a model that stayed in production for a long time, and even the ones made in the 70's still had the 60's look with serrated sidewalls, and the traditional decal.
Or as iab noted Fiamme Red labels, although those can be very tough to find NOS these days, and used ones can be a real crap shoot. With the emphasis on crap.

Unless your really desperate for originality any silver box section rim will look correct on it.

A 1977 Masi that I used to have came with "NISI MONCALIERI" tubular rims that I was pretty sure were original to the bike.
I've since seen what I think has been a fairly wide variety of tubular rim types with that same name though. I'm not even sure if this is a manufacturer's name or a model name.
As Bianchigirl says, any eyeleted rim with the right look could be a suitable replacement, and once a pair of repro decals has perhaps been applied. Also depending on how much of a correct restoration is being attempted.

Moncalieri is the name of the town where Nisi was located. Never a model name, as far as I know but so many of their rims were stamped with that name I suppose maybe it has become a model. I could never figure it out definitively when looking for replacement rims for my Frejus.
Which reminds me, I have the old serrated braking surface "Moncalieri" rims from my my 1963 bike if you want them, Lenos. Cost of postage only but, fair warning, they will require quite a bit of refinishing and polishing work to bring back to presentable. But they're straight and solid.
