Gios Torino frame, what is the steel? Ok for a Clydesdale rider?
I just got myself a Gios Torino Super Record frame ($60 on craigslist...don't ask). I'm not sure the year, but the spacing is 126mm.
Is this Columbus SL or SLX?
I weigh 215 pounds. Any concerns with a rider of my weight?

I'm no expert, but I think it's SL.

If you hear a knock on the door, it's the cops. You stole that, nice find.

215?
I have no experience with this specific bike, or with Gios in general, but unless it's some kind of super-duper thin-walled tubing (e.g. Columbus KL, perhaps), I seriously doubt rider weight would be a problem for most people at that figure.
SL/SLX, should be all good, I'd reckon.
Is this the one that was powder coated, discussed elsewhere on the forum recently? I'm sure we might appreciate a picture of this particular steal...

At $60 yeah for me its a steal. I could easily repaint it with new decals. A Gios Torino is on my list and $60 just happens to be in my budget.

So my plan is to build it up using whatever parts I have on hand and see how I like it. If I love it, I'll get the frame stripped/repainted and get some Gios Torino Super Record decals applied.

And if you hate it, let me know. But I think you going to love the ride.
