Braze-on shifter not holding its snugness...
My front Shimano 600EX shifter gradually loosens while rotating the lever. no matter how much tension I put on the screw. I referred to the exploded view in another post, and believe I have them assembled (and lubed) correctly.
Any thoughts or help are, as usual, appreciated!

Use loctite on the screw. Make sure you remove any gease/oil from the screw first. There are multiple strengths of loctite. I think you want blue but someone correct me if wrong. It will hold the screw in place but can be removed if needed.

Awkward situation, as above not only make sure the screw is clean but also the threaded hole in the braze on, maybe this internal thread is worn or dirty, lean the bike over & spray in try & clean it out, as mentioned Locktite be very careful, I would try just put a drop on the end of the screw, & see if that holds, don’t paint all the thread.

Hit the Home Depot hardware section. they have bins full of specialty washers plastic, carbon, steel, that will fit and increase surface bite. For the $1 dollar or so you can't go wrong. Just bring the problem lever with you, and don't guesstimate size. you just need a washers to take up a few Millimeters and have the retaining screw bite into less used threads. Good luck
