Bruce Gordon's interesting blog!
Bruce Gordon is featuring an ongoing series about his collection of personal handmade bikes.
The first in this series is a real beauty.
It's a quick read and the pics are well done.
Recommended.

Thanks for sharing, very interesting.
I can see why a guy who needs this kind of geometry would go in the custom business.

Interesting, thanks. It's always nice to hear the history and stories on these things.

My favorite builder, one day I will get one custom made.
I am first in line if he ever sells this one.

A mechanic at my LBS rides one. It's a real beauty in person.

I was fortunate to be allowed a test ride on a customer's Bruce Gordon, she'd ridden from where she lives near Bruce in California and stopped for her second tune up of the trip at our shop in Michigan. It happened to be a perfect fit for me too... nicest bike I've ever ridden. She had the unusual amount of tape/odd set up due to an injury.

Amazing bikes. A Pepto pink 61cm has been on my wish list for a while, still happy with my Copper / Brown Sports tourer.

From first photo to the last photo - enthralling. Love the simple story too.
Bruce Gordon is the type of bike person I would love to have been - if I had those skills
Thanks gomango.

Never to leave your hands, I would hope.
I had a line on one locally, but there was too much damage to the top tube.
Should have bought it anyway and had it rebuilt.

No problem!
I hope Bruce doesn't mind that I have this thread going. I happen to think his work is exceptional and more people should follow his blog.
I find it fascinating, for sure. I would love to see us focus a little bit more on these custom builders on the forum.
Such incredible talent in so many cases.

My '78 Gordon doesn't have rack/fender doo-dads like Vonruden's, but it does fit 30mm tires pretty comfortably and is a great all-day ride. I think Bruce's asymmetrically-drilled lug treatment is one of the sexiest around.

I sold my Rock 'n Road like a doofus.
That was a bad idea.
This is one of the last pics I had of the bike. I usually ran it with Challenge Grifos off road. Can't recall what I had on the bike here though.

@fietsbob, thank you! I always wondered. I have a mid 80's Mongoose ATB and it is soooo slack. It feels pretty good going downhill, but it's taking me a while to get used to it.

My 1st generation stump jumper sport is OK on pavement and as a Loaded touring bike they work great.
Then they evolved from the demands of XC MTB racing.
