"Facet" lugged bicycle: not Centurion
A couple weeks ago I ran into a full Campy nuovo record equipped steel lugged bicycle dating from 1980 with the name "Facet" on the head tube. I don't recall ever hearing that brand before, and an internet search let to the Facet biocam propulsion system from the late 70's into about 1980. I read somewhere that Facet at one time did distribute some frames, but I am not sure they built them. It was too short for me, the price was a bit too much, and the flared seat tube appearing as if someone had hammered in a too large seat post scuttled my interest, but I am curious who the builder might have been. Any of the B.F. experts have any comments on this one?

iirc this was a house brand for a distributor with a name like odner or odhner (not ochsner). sorry but the recollection is vague. another member will probably have better information. the name was sometimes written hyphenated as something like "facet-odhner."

Trek built at least some of the Facet Biocam frames; not sure if we did all of them, though.
