Seattle Bike Swap..................FEBRUARY 8TH
Who's going?
Myself and Alex Moll will be sharing a table - number 101, where the worst things in the world will be - and I hope to see some of you drop by. For a smokin' deal? Guess again; for some happy bike-banter? You betcha
I hope everything I'm selling fits in my new toy. For the Euro-lovin' gearheads:
This little thing will be just the ticket for my intended use: foul-weather, fire-trail, cross-country car. The D3 is going to take a back seat for awhile.

Dang, Jeff. Now you have TWO luxe autobahn cruisers? You're sorta/kinda reminding me what it's like to be single/childless. [/pauses wistfully]
Hmmm, I have to be in Seattle on Monday anyway, my daughter's choir is singing at Benaroya Hall. Maybe I can find a way to make it over there for Sunday, too. I always wanted to go to this swap and have never been.

Tim, I hope you can make it. Also, I think I'm going to stay overnight on your end in a couple weeks - gonna take the new toy out to the Coast.
Btw, I've got more tied up in my bikes and parts than the cost of this thing. So far, the best money I ever invested in a car.

Crickets?
Well, I hope to see some of you PNW folks show up, and hope y'all find some good deals.
I'm hoping to find a nice boot-mounted rack for the "new" car. Maybe a pair of Barelli pedals in good shape? Other than that, I'm concentrating on getting rid of stuff this go-around.

WV is not flat..
Sounds fun, but I'll have my table set up on the opposite coast at this swap.

Man I haven't been to a decent bike swap in three years since I moved from Wisconsin. Seattle is a bit of a drive for me from Southern Oregon. If anyone find something decent can you buy it for me? Lol. I ride a 50 cm also.

Great looking Audi, DD. Surprised the roof rack isn't on it yet.
Missing this even for the 3rd or 4th straight year thanks to Sunday commitments. However, next year will be a different story. Keep an eye out for that elusive 25.0 seatpost as we discussed. Looking forward to pics and stories afterward

Well, that was fun, and the rain held off all day which was a bonus when unloading/reloading.
We were kinda tucked away, but Matt found us (found himself a complete little Mafac tool kit, too) before it got crazy. Although I have to say it was less busy/crazy than in past years.
Spent most of the day in the booth, but I did look 'round for a couple things for other people (in vain, as it turned out). I originally intended only to buy a trunk rack (which I did in fact find - Saris Bones II), but got suckered into buying a 39t ring for the Ergopowered Davidson ($5), a pair of Puma Touring S shoes in super shape ($5) a little bag with 4 Campy Record brakeshoes and holders ($5). Oh, and when I took interest in a gin-u-wine Rhode Gear Flick-stand, complete with cardboard hang-box I was informed I could have it for free
Alex and I made some good money, got rid of some stuff, made some room and I'm sure also made some customers happy they came - which I guess is the whole point, right?
