Been a long one, starting to see the end of the tunnel. First winter in a few decades I didn't get to a warmer climate. I guess I picked the wrong one! See everyone on the trail.

CCRT season opener, Mk IV.

Spending the evening listening to @jimmuller and Sharon's band. Jim says this is not his new ride.

Hey Bob, thanks for the pics! It was great that you and Ginger could make it down for the show.

On our ride home either Sharon or Rich, I forget who, said you have to get up at like 3:30 AM on Sunday morning. Yow, that umbalievable. It makes it all the nicer that you made the trip down.

Happy anniversary!

FWIW, I was just giving that new ride a tune-up, you know, new cables, clean and re-grease the bearings, new bar tape, etc.

Jim, we really enjoyed the concert! Glad we could come and surprise you and thank you so much for the song! It made our night!

Sorry we had to scoot ASAP after you were done. We got home at midnight and I do get up at 4:30 on Sunday mornings. I always need to practice before my "gig" on Sunday mornings! This is especially true since I never do the same song (sermon) twice!

I'm sorry I will miss the CCRT ride this spring and probably the other adventure you are planning in May.

I now have the means to transport a bunch of bikes (my snowmobile trailer). I really need to organize an end to end ride on the Northern Rail Trail for this summer. It's 50+ miles of gravel grinding through some really pretty NH mountains and countryside as you cross the divide between the Connecticut and Merimack River valleys. We could all meet up in New London. Trailer the bikes to Lebanon, and then ride south to the Boscawen/Concord town line. We'd then trailer back to New London. I'll work on getting Mrs. PB checked out on driving with the trailer.

This is with my buddy Paul last October after reaching the end and some other sights along the way.

100 miles to Boston marker (these are pretty much every mile).

Andover/Potter Place Station and Caboose.

About the half way point. Ice cream pit stop!

The high point on the trail. It's all downhill (sic) from here to Concord.

138 miles to Boston at the beginning of the ride (and Paul's finger).

just saw this thread and I'm so amused it was started at the beginning of February right after the fun started. what a February. thought I would check out the outer cape this weekend but then saw the temp and wind speeds and figured I stay put for a few more weeks. it's just not fair that the rest of the country is so cozy while our winter continues

wow, thanks for sharing that article .. I never could have imagined that anyone was thinking of extending the bike trail up to P'Town. Very cool.

It IS encouraging, Scott. But I'm not holding my breath too much. As I understand it, there are a lot of obstacles regarding private property, lack of an old rail right of way as the rest of the rail trail uses, etc. But if they can get it done it will be great. They've been talking about extending the trail west of Dennis since I moved here 13 years ago, but with similar obstacles it might not happen any time soon.

By the way…what is the date of your ride, guys? Guess I should go back and look at the rest of the thread.
I'm pretty sure I'll be way south, depending on the date.

That's tough to beat! If nothing untoward intervenes we will be there!

But will the snow have departed? Remains to be seen. I have a tentative agreement from my better half to join us. If Danny gets his act together and finishes the paint repairs on Geraldine (my red bomber), we'll have a pair.

Hi Top, I'm afraid I won't be acquiring the Shogun, I've got 3 builds backed up in the shed and no room to put it! timing is just not right.

Our own C&V New England covert agent springs into action! Watch out for the pretty dark haired woman on the Motobecane. She might blow your cover!

Have fun!

Never have been to Caulker. Only been to Ambergris once. Last year. There are some big, high-falootin' resorts on Ambergris, but we stay at a tiny, out of the way place with only 12 cabanas. Nice and quiet.

So, April 18th eh? Well, that's my wedding anniversary and I'll be spending it with my lovely and wonderful sweetie, celebrating our 23rd year together.

Scott, I'm going to guess there is still snow in places judging by my yard here in CT. I've got some lawn showing where I get full sun all day and some places with a foot of snow. Close to the house, where I had to shovel the roof, there is still 3 feet in the front garden!

Yes, I'm back from my journey ... yesterday there were places of bare pavement. 100's of yards, then interrupted by 10 yards of a foot of snow. However, because of the rain last night, I suspect it's much better now and we'll be good to go by April. I'm betting on seeing some leftover snow bits in the woods tho.

Yes, the dark haired woman on the Moto, has anybody invited her?

Just chiming in to say that I hope I'll be able to make it. I had a great time two years ago. Plus I entertained my wife and daughter--they both thought it was really comical that I was getting together with my "internet friends."

Not sure, I might bring the hi-ten Fuji doublespeed.
