Spectacular. Looks you have your Eroica California bike, both for riding and for the Concours.

i luv it!
she certainly looks to be in fine fettle for a girl celebrating her mid-century mark.
chainset has 144bcd which makes it post '67. you may wish to check the backside of the arms for a date code. that and the rear mech may represent updates that were done at some point.
will be eagerly following this thread.
congratulations!

You don't want anything that old. How about a trade for an '83 Pinarello? Super cool bike.

Nice! I have a white (more ivory with age) Silca. Let me know what size you need. I think its about 15" compressed. I will never use it.

Ha!
Tis' true.
I'vebeen hunting a Galmozzi, but I really wanted the headlug and rooster badge. This was clearly an exceptional bike, but I've never felt a huge affinitytowards Pinarello before. The question was...would this sate my Galmozzihunger. After careful (pretty brief) consideration I decided that whetherit does or doesn't, it was an exceptional bike and right in my sweet spot.

I spoke with the seller - he doesn't know much. Apparently it came via an estate sale. I'm going to try and get a date pinned down.

Cool bike.
I passed last summer on a Galmozzi-built Pinarello city bike. I regret that one.

Frozen peasssss.
I don't have much room! I have to be picky now. But yeah, it was a pretty clear buy.
I was hoping you'd chip in. I know very little about Pinarello...were there other builders they used besides Galmozzi and Cinelli? What were the percentages Galmozzi? I'd assume it was very low production and minimal exports.
I'd have loved to have seen the city bike...why did you pass?

The city bike was not my size. And it was too "new" for me.
