Classic Mondia Swiss made bike finally restored
Hello all.
I would like to show your my recent work. I have restored Classic Mondia bike. Its Reynords 531 tubing and full Shimano 600 ultegra groupset. Please let me know your thoughts.

Thoughtful renewal and a sweet bike. Tilt those bars down a smidge and you're all there.

Yow!!! Yellow tires? Chartreuse bar tape? - Those colors are wild! - but somehow, it all works on that bike. Great job, djoxy.

Great looking ! I like the way you went after the major problems( top tube) but left all the other little nicks showing. Shows the history and story of the bike. Good looking frame, I just landed an 89 Gazelle Formula race frame and it shares similar build with yours.

I agree with all the comments:
the colors seem to work well! You can really see your style come out in those color choices.
the bars should be leveled out - if you ride better like they are - at least level them out for a good side view photo.. and then put them back!
great choice on painting the top tube where the worst scratches were and leaving the rest! Did you clear coat the whole bike once the top tube was repainted white? That white blends very well...

As for the clear coat I only did top tube. Was scared to get peeling off if I don't sand the rest. A bit unsure about that.
White is not 100% identical but that is only visible from one feet far from the tubes. I couldn't mix the rattle cans.
If I continue to do this hobby I am thinking of buying spray *** and small compressor for next project and experiment with some custom color schemes.

I know how it was before the service, haven't tried it yet after the restoration. Must admit that it worked well even before.

Very cool work! I really like the colors too.
Same comment on the bars. I have never seen them pointed below the rear axle before. Mine end up being somewhat above as a result of leaving them loose and finding the comfortable position in the drops within brake lever reach. But if you like them in that position, ignore our opinions!

I did some research but couldn't find exact year and model. I found some similar frames but made for cyclocross. And they said its about 1986. My thoughts are that it is in between 85-90'. Here is some page about it:

Beautiful!! As I scrolled through the pics I was afraid I was afraid I would see it festooned with black 11 Spd Ergo and "Deep Dish" wheels. It is a great looking and I am sure a great riding bike.

Your Mondia looks very nice, great combination of color and parts. I would think it's a late eighties model.
