Not all steel bikes ride the same, so I hope an aluminum Pegoretti doesn't ride like an entry level Trek.

True. To be fair I had herniated discs in my lower back 20 years ago as well. I never had a steel frame of any level cause me pain like that Trek did though.

I assure you it doesn't.

It's a rocket ship.

I might not want to ride it 100 miles, but I sure as heck would do a 50 miler on a Fina Estampa.

It would be pure pleasure.

Thanks, and that is the plan. My mind may change in time, but I like the idea of a new Chorus group.
