Anyone riding the Solvang century this weekend?

just like the title says, I am riding my '81 Bianchi limited in the Solvang century this weekend… And just wondering if anyone else is going to be there.

Sorry to miss (again). Significant other is returning from yet another week away-Dublin this time-and I've been on the road way too much to even think about a century at this point in the year. Should be great Wx and excellent scenery with the recent, though insufficient, rain.

Yeah, the forecast says the weather is gonna be beautiful...a high of 85*. I have never ridden it and am looking forward to it.

My first Double Century - new saddle and top tube bag and I am not really sure what to expect just hoping to be mechanical free and nice weather.

Any thoughts on start time?

I think this weekend is the century and next weekend is the double. I need a new 1" headset on my vintage but I'll be riding an Orange Voodoo on the double.

Yep...double is NEXT weekend (21st). Metric and regular is this weekend. I'll be keeping an eye out for some other steel rides.

If it is 85, that would be a welcome change from the usual 50's and maybe 60's and 70 miles of headwind......

A couple of friends pay for my entry and this will be my second time after 20 years. I am just dreading that last hill after my legs are broken and hungry. Taking my Carbon Ridley and a 25 large cog

Well, I finally got here (forgot how FAR Solvang is) and now it's hurry up and wait to register. A lot of nice people. The weather should be great. Don't know if I'm ready for it...but ready or not...

Done. It was a GORGEOUS day, beautiful sights, some nice people (some a-hats). I finished in 7 hours 9 minutes. Tired. Enjoying some beers with a good friend.
