A Project Has Died (for now)
So yesterday I went to my storage unit thinking I'd gather up all the bits of my Raleigh Sports I have and start putting it back together. I have the frame, brakes and cables in the workshop, but no wheels, fenders, shifter, etc. I get to the storage unit, turns out they aren't in there. Must have lost them in a break-up a year back. Since I don't have half the bike, I've decided to let go of that restore project until the missing parts fall into place.
The good news is that I am able to focus all my attention on my Marin Bear Valley and make that guy function. Just went to the LBS yesterday and picked up everything needed to build it up.

Use this as your opportunity to build up a set of alloy wheels.

You're in SE CT? I'm in SW RI and I've got a few boxes full of Raleigh Sports. If you don't want this pair of wheels I've got you should give me that frame. I;ll trade you my extra dehumidifier for it or something. The wheels are 3 speed coaster brake and you can have them.

I was just looking at them. The rear is missing a spoke but I might have and extra spoke around. I'm in West Kingston, RI but I work in Westbrook CT. Where are you?
