4/14 - 12.1mi, 396ft. Lunch ride, couple minor climbs.
4/14 - 31.5mi, 1462ft. Club A/B ride to get in some group rides before my regular rides start. Couple bigger hills for MN, getting noticeably stronger now.

220.1/500 miles, 10108.

Halfway through month, 2 miles per day off pace for goal, way off climbing goal. Should be able to catch up on distance, weather pattern does not indicate more days will be lost to snow.

Excellent job so far. "Mailing it in" isn't really fair to yourself. You have to have rest days, and if you're trying to ride every day, short, easy days are the only way you'll get that. Especially when you're building fitness.

Don't force it, recovering from overtraining is an annoyingly long process. Embrace the easy days.

Spring is finally here! So to celebrate I rode 32 miles yesterday and 35 miles today for 81 miles so far this month. Going to try to get in another 50 before the rain comes Friday. Oh what a joy it is to no longer be freezing to death outside!

4/11- 43.3 miles Killer winds
4/4- 19.9 miles lovely ride
MTD- 63.2 miles

My wife is killing it, she led our ride tonight and set a PR for us on Strava over a 7+ mile section!! I try to stay out of her draft as much as possible without her dropping me on days like this.

Well, I couldn't let such a beautiful day end without another ride and the family was to be out so I went out last night for another 10.8 outdoor miles. Yup, no trainer for me. felt good and the weather was nice. I decided to switch back to the Fizik Antares saddle and decided to brave the chill of 48-51 F weather at 5 AM and do another outdoor ride. As I was just starting out, it was good to see another cyclist out for a ride. The rest of Plainview was fast assleep and hardly a car was seen until the sun rose. Got in another 13.2 miles this morning.

Yeah, I have to agree trainer workouts are definitely easier than real road rides. Either that or the trainer is setup to emulate a 150 lb rider and me being 202 +/-lb plus the weight of the gear on the bike, it doesn't do it justice. It is definitely better than no riding at all but outdoors is better.

Goal: 350 miles (including trainer = T)

4/1 -- 20.1 T miles
4/2 -- 21.1 T miles
4/6 -- 20.6 T miles
4/7 -- 20.4 T miles
4/8 -- 21.4 T miles
4/9 -- 20.7 T miles
4/12 -- 51.4 miles (Personal Record distance and duration: 4:51)
4/14 -- 20.4 T miles
-- 10.8 Miles
4/15 -- 13.2 miles

MTD: 220.1 miles (75.4 outdoors)

Can I include miles I ran for this Goal?

LOL I am training for a half marathon and that is eating up some of my biking time!

I guess I'm on the board, if only barely:

129 miles / 10,174' / 8:07 hrs

Work travel and personal travel is really eating into my mileage this month. Still hoping for the 9,000m for the Strava climbing challenge and not to be mocked for my shoutout more than I deserve, but it's gonna be tough. We're expecting snow again too.

Whine, whine, whinge, whinge. May I have some cheese?

No goal per se ... just finally glad the weather is getting better.

4.14 = 14.5 miles
4.15 - 7.5 miles (recovery)

Total 22 miles

Hoping for my first ride with my new local club tomorrow night.

4-12 rest, unplanned
4-13 rest, also unplanned however finally went to a medical professional (PA) for a breathing issue that I've had for a month, on my way to being healed....
4-14 The Sufferfest ISLAGIATT 1hour 56 minute video on the trainer, at a bit less than full effort but it was nice to be able to finally put out an effort and breathe at the same time.

Got out for another 5 am ride. Boy it is still a little brisk! 48-50 F today and still trying to figure out what gear I like best for morning rides. Today I overdressed a bit and rode at least half of the time with several zippers open. Either way, got another 17.5 miles in. As always, feels good to ride.

Goal: 350 miles (including trainer = T)

4/1 -- 20.1 T miles
4/2 -- 21.1 T miles
4/6 -- 20.6 T miles
4/7 -- 20.4 T miles
4/8 -- 21.4 T miles
4/9 -- 20.7 T miles
4/12 -- 51.4 miles (Personal Record distance and duration: 4:51)

4/14 -- 20.4 T miles
------- 10.8 Miles
4/15 -- 13.2 miles
4/16 -- 17.5 miles

MTD: 237.6 miles (92.9 outdoors)
