Athena looking for GMR ride buddies

I had plans with a friend to ride GMR on Sunday 4/26. Looks like they are not going to ride (last time we planned to do it...she had to cancel). I truly don't want to do it alone but I need the climbing so if I must...I will.

Wondering if Mrs @iTrek would be up for meeting me out there... and of course anyone else who wants to make it. I plan on rolling from the Boulder Springs neighborhood parking area about 8am. I hope to get to the village but am playing by ear.

I just did it again a couple of weeks ago on an OCW training ride. We started at a Starbucks in San Dimas, so it was a little longer than starting from Boulder Springs.

Love to go but I am out of town right now. It's actually raining a bit here in Northern California. Hope you have a good ride!

Somehow I missed seeing this. My wife is wanting to ride GMR again, but she's out of town this weekend. Hope you have a great ride.

Well...my friend and I have chosen to delay our ride. The weather today does not bode well for tomorrow. Plus after my ride today I was tired enough I took a nap! Figured body telling me something. So aiming for next Sunday or maybe a Saturday coming up. I forgot that @iTrek and the Mrs can't do Sunday's.

No, AC Brea vs Buena Park. Youth soccer... the bane of my bike riding existence.

FYI...my friend from the C/A Oceanside ride and I will be riding up GMR this Sunday. Figure roll at around 8 from the neighborhood spot on Boulder Springs. If anyone wants to meet up with us.

You go there often enough that you should consider moving there

Very good ride, I just checked my time and you beat my time by a little more than a minute!! I need to ride again once my back is fully healed.

If I hadn't needed to stop to deal with my back issue I would have done even better. The one stop was a bit long as I took my jersey off to apply some Aspercreme to the area. I think it is related to my feet as I have issues on the right foot too and think the back issue on right side is related to the right foot. I must be doing something to compensate resulting in pain. Trying to get it dialed in before the AIDS ride.

These LG shoes may be retired as I think part of it is these shoes.

Well next time you ride let me know. I'm going to slowly get back into climbing mode and really want to do that route again some day.

Most definitely! My friend Lisa was mortified that I did it by myself. Tho in reality I was not by myself as there were many others riding up the road. I have no doubt if I had run into trouble, I would have had help.
