Carbon Bike Frame to give away

i have been biking for just over a year a half and I got a bike fit done recently which pointed to my continued discomfort being because my reach length is too large on the bike I bought used when I was just getting back into cycling. So I have just purchased an ex demo 2014 Specialized Roubaix and it's a perfect fit.
So I have a frame and fork to give away as long as you use it.

It's a 2008 Jamis Xenith Pro
51 cm 12k Carbon Frame, carbon fork and headset only. I removed
BB is English thread. Never dropped and just finished two centuries on it. My weight is 215 and did not have an issue.
I'm 5'6" but have longer legs and reach was too long.
Funny thing is I got a 52 specialized Roubaix but geometry works better for me.
Just asking for postage to be paid if your interested.
I am located in PA.
Let me know if your interested.

Allan

Very generous offer Pakiwi, way too small for me though. Thanks for paying it forward!

I wish I could justify the build, it sounds perfect for my longer torso and shorter legs as I am 5'6" myself. I hope someone can use it.

I think I just justified the build. How was your stand over and what is your inseam.

The frame would be great. I'd gladly pay for the shipping... I've been watching this all day, and am surprised there aren't more nibbles.

However, this would be an excellent opportunity for a junior racer which I am not, and I would gladly step aside for someone who wanted to build a father/son or father/daughter project... or perhaps for a girlfriend or spouse... or....

Anyway, throw my name in the hat as a very interested party... but it would be nice to get it to the right person.

I would love to take this on as a project. I have a lady in my weight loss group that wants a bicycle but lacks the funds. I bet I can source the parts to do a build for her and surprise her at our 1 year anniversary meeting.

how much would shipping be to 46818?

Hi, I'm in PA as well, and would be interested in local pickup. I'd love to build this up for my girlfriend with spare parts. Let me know. Thanks!

Yeah, I am willing to step aside for someone that is 100% on this, I am still wavering and am in no way wanting to disrupt this opportunity for someone. I have a bike, but those without have bigger needs than me.

I definitely want this to go to a Clyde. The one thing is that it is a racing bike and got uncomfortable in the centuries I rode and with the reach adding to the issue, this compounded the problem.
I will pick somebody tonight.
Thanks for the interest.

I'm also interested in this. I'm currently 240ish and 6'0". Do you think it would fit?

I'm at Auburn University, 36849
Business address if that makes any difference in shipping.

Thanks

Personally I think a 51cm bike is on the small side for a person that is 6' tall, although the bike does have a sloping top tube so the head tube may be closer to the equivalent of a 58cm bike or so.

At 6'0", unless you've got really short legs, a 51cm bike won't fit you. It's probably going to be for someone with < 30" inseam. Probably more likely a 28" inseam or less.

It looks like it would fit me at 5'5" and a 28" inseam, but I have a decent (AL) bike, and I wouldn't be able to justify the build to my wife, so let those in more need go for it.

At 6' even, you're probably going to need a 55-58 CM frame. Just guessing, of course and 58 will probably be on the too big side. 56 or 57 is more likely your target frame but go to your LBS to get fitted.

The road bike I have now is GMC Denali from Walmart that I picked up used. It's a 22.5", which is 57.15 CM, and it seems to be a good fit, if not slightly on the tall side.

Sorry for Hijacking the thread.

You know if I can help just one person in their fitness I will.
the frame is too big for me and I know somebody can use it.
Im waiting on a response on a question and am thinking of also parting with a complete bike. Only a seven speed cassette on cheap aluminum frame but I'm sure somebody can use it.
hopefully cycling your loop you sent me.

Let me know when you are doing that. If I can I'll root around there with you. Bring some friends. Feeling good we can go on up to High Rock; halfway up you get to see this
It's a decent repeat hill and a park at the bottom to refill the bottles every fourth time down

I got no races until mid July

Pakiwi, was there ever a completed build photo posted for your frame give away?

Would have been nice to see the completed build and rider with a big ear to ear grin...
