Last three weekend I turned 34 chickens from eating and crapping machines into freezer fodder. We have cooked 5 so far. 5 I grew for a friend so we have 24 frozen. That should last us into December. I am so tired of cleaning chickens........

Yesterday was first weigh-in for the little ones 4H pigs..... borrowed a tandem axle horse trailer from a buddy who is the HS Ag teacher, while backing it down the driveway LOML remarks you make this look so easy. Yeah thanks for jinxing me honey.

Ah the joys of rural living.

Oh yeah also finished rebuilding my rear wheel this weekend. 32 hole Velocity Fusion. Ultegra 6800 hubs. first used wheelsmith db spokes, allowy nipples. After popping 2 NDS spokes in less than 500 miles decided to go a different route. Choose DT Swiss 14 ga. DS and db for NDS, again alloy nipples. The rims are Popsicle purple, nipples are gold except for the two ajacent to the valve stem hole which are purple, spokes bright stainless.

I think what happened to the first build was I did not have enough tension on the wheel and over stressed the spokes. Hope I'm right about the cause.

I'M ****ING STARVING.

I just rode a really hard 18 miles, and had a 270 calorie dinner afterwards. And now it's time for bed.

Alas, I've lost 20 pounds since I started doing this in April. So continue it I must.

Both broke at the elbow.

And BTW @seely y'all need to bring back popsicle purple into your line-up. I wish my Maj. Toms were that shade, I also wish I could buy a pair of Maj. Toms in popsicle purple. I'd build up a set for road. simply not going to do it with the color choices in the current line-up. I'd just as soon go with a carbon tubbie if I can't have purple. I get lots and lots of compliments on my purple wheels with matching bartape.

There is a definite possibility Purple might make a comeback! We moved our anodizing in house and are just getting up to speed with Red and Blue, but I believe there's been talk of other colors in the future or possibly rotating color choices. Keep your eyes peeled!

Happy Father's Day to those of you who are male and have kids!

I celebrated with a 3 and a half hour bike ride this morning after celebrating a bit too much last night... ha ha, the first 10 miles were rough going.

I celebrated with a 2 hour bike ride with a 12.3 mph average! Not due to hang-over (although I did have a slight one, I'll admit), but due to ride-coordinating my club's CC group who ended up being 1 guy on a hybrid!

Still any time spent away from my annoying kids on father's day is good!

@PhotoJoe, when's the next SoCal beach ride? The last one was a ton of fun (even though I lost and later retrieved my cell phone with @ahultin 's help).

I'll be riding in Cambria this weekend

You know, I was too - I debated signing up for the amtrak century... I have the date SORT of open, but I got a little disgusted with the logistics of the thing (have to wake up at 7 am on Father's day and it sells out in 10 min. and there are only limited spots on the train). Keeping in mind I actually got up at 6 for my ride that day, I was awake... just annoyed by the whole process. I thought our rendition of the ride was much more fun anyway.

How's about a ride up GMR on July 4? No cars! TrojanHorse Jr will be making his debut and probably kicking my butt, the punk. Unless I Cinzano him. He probably won't want to go all the way to the village though.

I backed out of signing up for the Amtrak at the last minute as well. The more I thought of $300 for a ride I could do on my own just didn't make sense.

I spent the day doing box jumps. I found that 5 is as high as I can go.

Great exercise...

I'm not the one to plan any big rides right now. I've been on the bike a grand total of 15 miles since the inaugural Pizza Port 300. I'm hoping to be able to get back at it soon, though. I'm even questionable for Cool Breeze. As soon as I can, though, another PP/Metro ride would be a blast.
