What bikes are you tall guys riding?
I'm on a 64cm Trek Emonda.
Love it but would be nice to have disc brakes and a more aero frame. What about you guys? Please indicate how tall you are too. |
was riding a 59cm Raleigh Revinio 2.0, and now on a 60cm Orbea Orca.
|
An undersized Madone 3.1 - 56cm. I likes me some twitchy handling.
|
62cm aluminum touring frame, 22" Ti mtb.
Edit: 6'5" |
How tall are you guys? First post updated.

It varies. I'm almost 6'4". I have a custom steel road bike, pretty much a classic French fit with a horizontal top tube, that is 63cm. The big difference between that and my Giant TCR compact (size L) isn't the reach, it is that on the custom bike my weight is rotated slightly further forward, so it handles a bit better. But I also have a 58cm SS/FG that is comfortable, and a big flat-bar tourer that's probably around 62 cm. One can organise a comfortable riding position on a surprisingly wide range of frames.

6'2" riding a 58cm Felt road bike and a XL (60cm) Trek 7.2FX
For a different take on what size bike is right for you, have a look at Andre Griepel's bike. He's 6 feet and rides a small. So, I suppose you ride what size makes you feel/perform best. |
6'2 on a 56 roadie and 58 CX
various sized MTBs |
6-4ish - riding a 25 inch 1979 Fuji Royale, or 1989 63cm Bridgestone RB-1. Not sure those will help you if looking for disc brakes though
|
6'2" riding a 61cm Fuji Roubaix. I sure like the feel of it. My +1 is a 58cm Fuji Newest, just a tad cramped compared to the Roubaix I suppose but I can ride forever on it.

All measured top of seat tube to crank center:
Calfee Luna Pro 65cm Cannondale M700 62cm Litespeed Team Issue 65cm Soma Double Cross 62cm My height is very misleading; I'm 6'1" barefoot with a cycling inseam of 91cm. |
6'3'' or a speck over if feeling proud
Felt AR1 58 cm Zinn Custom.....about 59 cm Trek Ultimate CX 58cm |
188cm tall, 89.5cm cycling inseam, a freaky, monkey-like 94cm sleeve (82cm arm by the Competetive Cyclist measurement,) and a fingertip to fingertip span of 204cm. So I ride a 61cm KHS CX100.
|
CAAD 10, whatever the biggest one is. 62? I'm 6'7
|
6'4" riding a 61cm Cannondale Synapse. I also have a Schwinn Madison fixed that is a L or XL, but it's been too long to remember and I'm out of town atm.
|
six foot three inches and 360 pounds.
|
6'4", 61cm Fuji Sportif on the road and a 21" Jamis Dragon Race off road.
|
I was 6'6" for most of my adult life...till Father Time and Mother Nature took over.
Shrunk to 6"4" now. 240# now, but have been as high as 270# Began riding in 1980 on a 27" frame Fuji Royale Rode a 25" Colnago for a time. Then. in '86 I bought my first 63cm Cannondale SR frameset and have been mostly been on them ever since. Carbon fork, 300mm seat post and 120 or 130mm stem, depending on the phase of the season. IMO, the best bikes for my size. I also have a few 27" Cannondale ST's and a T1000 tourer n the same size. |

6'5"+, 260 lbs, KHS Flite 747 (XXL, nominally 64cm)

6'6'' ~330lbs...Surly Disc Trucker 64cm.

60cm Raleigh Revinio 2.0. I like this bike because it's a bit stretched out which makes it nice for my type of rides. |
6'3"
Almost all my bikes are 57.5cm-58cm (several from Pinarello and a Kestrel) The Madone is a stated larger size, but that's just the way they market them. I think it is 61cm size, but the top tube is actually in the 58cm range. You need to consider stem size too. That will make a difference in reach. My stems are 110mm. 'Normal' for frames in the sizes we ride are 120mm. |

6"6" with a 99cm PBH.
My bike for trails is a 65cm Black Mountain Cycles Cross. Very comfortable ride with 43mm tires. Newer bike for faster road rides is a 68cm Serotta Colorado III. Does not get nearly enough use as the others because I rarely need to go fast. My main road ride is a 68cm Bridgestone 400. Just a fun bike for long rides at a leisurely pace. And the runt, a 23" Mongoose hybrid converted to drops. The BMC replaced it 2 years ago and now it only gets out one week a year for rides at the Jersey shore because it can be left outside. |
I'm 6'6" and on a Soma Double Cross Disk 66cm. Love it.
