There is no way anybody is going to post in this thread with your ugly-ass dog leading the way.
Guess I'll wait for Carbo Loading V to post in this thiread.

If I had a dog that looked like that, I think I would have taken it out back and shot it. #Cruelbutserious

Was in a small Trek store yesterday, tiny store really. Seem like nice people, lady and her husband run it. She is trying to sell me a Domane (not in stock)..."you know they use the Domane on the Tour don't you?".
I said "yes, on cobblestones" :-). Maybe I was wrong there I did not follow it even remotely to know for sure, but had heard of it being used on cobble stones, which look horrible BTW.

I have both a Madone and a Domane. The Domane was designed to withstand the cobbles but is a really nice bike for overall riding. It is comfortable like a Roubaix is. Designed for comfort on longer rides. I took it on the AIDS Lifecycle. It is a bit more stable than the racier Madone. Climbed well, descended great. I love both my bikes but the Domane with the frame design to smooth the cobbles really does help in reducing road buzz.

A week ago I was riding up in the mountains and flatted, pinch by hitting a large rock. Put my spare tube in aired it up and rode back to the car. Today I worked on patching the tube. After a dozen patches I'm giving it up as a lost cause................. Did not know that just a short ways when the tire was flat slowing to a stop made so many other pinch flat holes..........

It'll be all dried up the next time you want to use it anyway........

I have about ten unpatched tubes hanging in my bike shed waiting for me to find the motivation to patch them.

Hit a large hole on Saturday; enough to crack the screen on my Garmin Edge 500. No other issues on the bike. Old Zipp 404's with Gatorskins that I got for $250 didn't seem to care.
Was either hit the hole or a car. I may have chosen wisely.

Dang! see if Garmin will swap it out for you. I got a refurb 800 when the little dog ears busted on my 800 - they charged me $25.

The one I had the buttons on the side were no longer functioning since the rubber was spliting. That was after 3 years of use and hitting one Ford pickup truck at 25 mph... Totaled the truck but the Garmin kept recording

@indyfabz made reference to an article about mods in the Fat Man Across the Parking Lot thread. Is this it?

I LOVE my 7D. I use it FAR more than my 5D "MKI". I've never used the 25-105L, but love both my 24-70 2.8L and my 70-200 2.8L IS! I have used the 7D to shoot several Tri's on PCH with bikes doing 30+ MPH as well as night-time cheer leading and indoor volleyball.

Screw the 7D, get a 7D2, the sensor and AF enhancements are worth it.
Or buy my 1d3 and I'LL get a 7D2, I need a little more reach for soccer. My wife doesn't know it yet but that new 100-400 is dangerously close to going in the shopping cart. 7D are still nice cameras though, just not as good at higher ISOs as new bodies. A good plan would be to get the 7D now and get a 7D2 (or 3) when your kids finally start doing indoor sports or ballet or volleyball or whatever. You know, dungeon lighting.

I'm going with a friend on his test ride of a "lightly used" Allez. He's 5'10" or so and it's a 58. Shop says they can make it work well. I'm not totally convinced. We're going for a ride on Saturday to see how comfortable he is on it. I hope it works out well. I hooked him up with the seller, who rides on the group I hook up with from time to time. Good people. Bikes in really nice shape. We shall see. Hopefully I'll have a new recruit for the next Pizza Port ride!
