I do too, but only if I mount spinning blades on my wheels to cut down those joggers.

Looks a lot like the part of the Schuykill River Trail through Valley Forge, only narrower.

I will be riding from New Hope, PA to Brooklyn on Sunday. "No! Sleep!. 'Til! Brooklyn!

I have to admit, I like rides with a destination. out and back is dull. Turning the route into a big loop is an improvement but I do like pushing on to GET somewhere.

Where is that unnaturally green picture from anyway? THis is where I seem to end up more often than not, gratuitous water included:

@dr_lha - Play nice. I'm one of 'those' guys but I never do that with somebody. Like drinking, I tend to go it alone. Home made Apple Pie

@TrojanHorse - not your driveway, definitely not your driveway. I can see way to much flat bits.
@indyfabz - ACK! the city? <I shudder at the thought of having to be there>

No, that is the semi-famous and curiously named Santa Ana "river" trail. Based on the fact that there are more than 0 clouds in the sky, that must be rainy "season", which usually lasts all of about 3 days. The water is probably tidal influx from the ocean. My in-laws live about a half mile from that wooden bridge so when I ride down there, this is the way I go.

This will be at least my 16th edition of the ride. It's always a blast. We are only on-road in Manhattan for maybe 6 blocks. (The rest of the Manhattan miles are on the bike path along the Hudson River). About the same in Brooklyn. The ride ends in downtown Brooklyn, not far from the bridge and near Cobble Hill and Brooklyn Heights. Both areas are incredibly nice now. We shower at nice hotel and then head out to dinner. The view of lower Manhattan from the promenade in B'Heights is one of greatest urban views in the country. Should be about 90 of us in total.

Last month was a sh**show for sure for me: A ****ed up job interview, my dad's funeral, 20,000 miles of flying around for those things, a total lack of any real time spent on my bike, and as a consequence of all the previously mentioned things, an almost 10lb weight gain.

    Roll on September!
