Welcome to my life. We have actual pro tour riders sucking up the good segments around here. 18 mph up a 6% grade? For an hour? Noooooooooope!

Dude, where'd you find land that flat anyway. That's umbarrassing. Don't do that anymore.

57 miles and 1 CX race in the books already this month. Goal for the month is 500 miles. If I stay upright and heart/lungs don't explode, six more CX races are coming my way this month.

Pic is from warm-up lap at Wed nite CX race. Upgraded this season to race with the faster/lighter/younger guys but still did OK .... meaning I wasn't DFL.

I was out of town for work all week, gained 10 lbs (not exaggerating )! I am participating in the BikeMS ride next weekend where I have committed to 2 50 mile days. I could do more but back when I signed up, 50 milers seemed like a stretch. At any rate, I am starting the month in a deficit.

9/5- 35.08 ride with 1 other cyclist

35.08 of 400.

Slow start... Goal 400, stretch 500
missed all week because of work and appointments after work. That's okay though. I'll make up for it

September 5 - 63.25 - third Metric in the last 4 weeks

Shooting for 300 miles this month, and I doubt I'll make it. Did 350 last month but this month is going to be far busier for me and I won't have time during the day. Plus, evening rides are out since it is getting darker too early now (and I won't ride in this bike-hostile area in the dark).

Already at about 80 for the month.

Failed to hit my 200 last month. With my first Metric coming up in 5 weeks, I need a minimum of 200 this month with a stretch to 250... and I'm getting a late start.

9/5: 24.23mi- 1:25:24@17mph. Very lonely group ride.

I'm in for 150 stretch to however much I can get in. I have a charity ride coming up late this month, I'm riding the 35 mile leg.

8-3 2.0 quick shakedown ride with the girlfriend so she could try out the bike I built for her
8-5 5.0 easy ride with the kids
8-6 17.1 finally a ride for me with a couple of good hills and a little extra weight in the trunk bag to make me push a little harder

I got to wondering how long your daily 50 mile commute takes to do and what your route is like elevation wise. My hat is really off to you to commute that far so often.

Like last month, I'm not setting a goal besides to ride 3000 miles by the end of the year. I'm currently just over half way there. Put in some long hours at work last week and have been running around since getting the kid ready to go back to school. Hoping my schedule balances out this week so I can get back to doing back-to-back quarter century (25mile) rides during the week and save the weekend for a much longer ride. I'm anxious to get in a century this month, at this point it doesn't have to be an imperial (100mile) century, I'll settle for a metric(62mile) but so long as I'm riding once every 7-8 days I'm not going to be in shape to do either.

09/06 - 25 miles

MTD: 25 miles
YTD: 1633 (54%) / 3000 miles

+50 today, 200 miles month to date.

Cracked my rim today. Heard it pop then begin to rub. I stopped and looked. Sure enough, there was a nice fracture near a spoke right where the wheel was bent. Failed rim at somewhere between 5000 and 7500 miles. Most miles ridden with weight between 230 and 250. So, maybe the next one will last longer now that I weigh around 225.
