SPRINT Blood Pressure Study

The new 'SPRINT Blood Pressure Study' suggests a max limit of 120 rather than 140 for older people.

Any thoughts?

Actually, it doesn't. It suggests that intervening to restrict systolic pressure to 120 rather than 140 may reduce mortality from cardiovascular disease in patients who have another risk factor.

Everyone knows that low BP is in general better. Whether it is worth intervening, and medicalizing otherwise healthy adults with a normal BP of, say, 130/80 remains an open question.

I missed the emphasis on other risk factors.
What are some of the other high risk factors?
a] kidney disease
b] age
