Yes sir. That is why in the summer I sometimes ride the BKool Trainer/simulator inside where I can keep the temperature under 80 degrees.
We have sustained winds of 30mph and over often, and in the winter we have a bunch of ice on the roads Much of my current annual mileage has been ridden on the trainer.

Okay, 32 degrees outside and fog (freezing to everything) so I did 15.5 miles on the Smart trainer (BKool) inside... no coasting on the trainer or the program comes up and says "do you want to end this session?" while stopping any forward momentum on the virtual course (one I loaded via the bike computer from an actual ride in this area). I earned my three slices of take and bake pizza.

The road surface was pretty much dry except for some areas where it was wet from melting snow. The day turned out to be relatively warm and humid. Only the summit, which is close to 7,000', was chilly.
Dont ever pass up the chance to ride Logan Pass. It's one of the most spectacular mountain roads in the U.S. I have climbed the west side three times and descended the east side once. From our tour in MT and Canada in '09:

I toted a medium format camera with a power winder, metered view finder and three lenses plus a 35mm with one lens some 6,000 miles. Shot close to 100 rolls of B&W film that I later developed myself.

He must be a purist.
Meanwhile, I totally wrecked my right ankle (again!) today doing something totally unrelated to cycling. It's killing me too, hurts like a son of a gun.

Thanks, vic. I bought one from TrojanHorse the morning of the PP70II ride. My other two showed up the next morning. I have a spare on the shelf now. I appreciate you thinking of ways to spend my money, though!

Three mods over two posts. my matter of fact ways have caught up with me. Trying to give honest advice and also being funny and folks take it out of context.
