Cypress
I think that's the name. I gained some weight, needed a hybrid frame, got a Giant Cypress.
Not impressed with the components, so I cannabilised my good bike. 9 speed Ultegra hubs and shifters, Velocity rims, Vittoria tires, B67 saddle, english saddle bag. The handlebars have rubber wedges they used to make to make them somewhat ergo.
Still breaking the saddle in, but it seems nice. Kind of a shame they don't offer that frame with better components.
Now if it would just stop raining.

I had a Giant Cypress and loved it. I'm sorry that I sold it because it was a great "do it all" bike. I say that because the bike hits a very affordable price point and gives you decent components for what it costs.
How many bikes out there (esp those around $400) can ride rail trails, roads and easy mtb trails? Look at upgrading the components when you have the money, but I think they work good enough for the bikes intended purpose.
Congrats, enjoy your new bike and ride it often.

In terms of what I want, the other components are pretty much as good as it gets, in terms of what I need right now. I've put thousands of miles on those Velocity rims, they just don't die. Which is a problem I've had with some other expensive rims. I think I will like the B67 once it gets broken in.
If I lost some weight, the components go back on my good bike, a Gunnar Sport.
