I guess if you have enough money to have to be that unique, you probably don't care that you have to hire a full-time car outside vacuum'er.

I had it detailed. It is very hard to keep clean, but it's striking looking and unique.

This happened to me 2 weeks before Cool Breeze. I was actually carrying a spare spoke with me strapped alongside my pump.

1 cup fried ground beef, 4 eggs, and three slices of Muenster cheese and horse radish sauce all wrapped in a flour tortilla.

Yup that is what was finally a meal a few minutes ago.

I started my day with fresh ground coffee (black), an Activia cup, a 20 mile bike ride where I consumed a 24 ounce bottle of water mixed with Hammer "Heed" and another bottle of water with the Nuun hydration tablets.

Well, I need to find a new LBS. They fixed my wheel! I was really hoping they'd say that the broken spoke totaled the wheel and I would need a new set of Zipps or Enve's! Alas, I will have to keep riding my FSA's.

Ride today included Pacific Island Drive. 0.9 miles average 10%. Before this I somehow munched my front derailleur. 105 5700, downshifting from large to small ring. Not under signficant load, I was shifting in preparation for the hill. Heard and felt a crunch, I was still rolling but could not shift to the small ring. Stopped and did some pushing on it with my foot, loosened the barrel adjuster all the way and got it sort of working, but cage was clearly bent such that it would overshift from small to large and throw the chain off to the outside.

Now that I'm home I've bent/adjusted to where it is working acceptably, and ordered a new 6700 FD also. But at a loss as to what caused it.

if you can spend on the Zipps or Enve's take a look at the Rolf Prima wheels. The Vigor RS is a great set (light, stiff, and holding up under my 360 pounds).

That's great to know, but I'm not spending that kind of change right now. I'm too cheap!

I get it... I just got tired of driving into town (30 miles one way) to get my back wheel trued and spokes replaced.

The extra cost of this wheelset is offset for me by the fact that I am spending my time riding instead of driving to get a wheel fixed.

Oh and 15 miles here https://www.strava.com/activities/700947470 today so I think I shall now go have a beer... the question is Porter or Apricot hard cider.

That does look like a great one. I think @tunavic rode it one year? Pencil it in for next year, it'd be fun to have a herd of people bringing up the rear!

I'm going camping on Pendleton this weekend with the boy scouts, so I can't make it this year. Oh, and I haven't ridden 2 feet on my bike since the Saturday before Cool Breeze.

You put this on your bucket list in 2014.

Are you saying you're riding it this weekend or is your memory failing?

It's a great ride. You'll find light to no traffic, inexpensive lodging if you're going for a few days, lots of excellent hiking, excellent sag stops, good meal at the finish, masseuse at the finish, good restaurants and a nice vibe in town as you're there between seasons.

Well, at least I'm consistent in the rides I want to do someday! But of your two options, I'd have to go with failing memory!

So.....C/A destination ride for 2017?

Brattleboro, VT to Philly tour starts Friday with a 7 hr. train ride using the Vermonter's new roll-on bike service. Plan to take a nice, long nap.

Would I have to wear an extra wide brimmed Fedora with an ostrich plume in the hat band, and high heeled boots with fishbowl heels? Maybe a gold tooth that has "Love" engraved on it?

I got mine on closeout (the Vigor RS OEM) for $880.00 for the set. Since it takes me about 1.5 hours if I am a hurry to go to the bike shop, do my business and return the time involved for me makes it worth the money. I haven't had to ride as easy, and these wheels are holding up nicely. I haven't thrown them out of true yet and I am 360 pounds riding on a bunch of chipseal roads.
